Read / Mark / Learn (RML) is a study method that originated in the UK. It focuses on reading the text, marking the text, and then discussing the text. It is used in many churches across the UK. St. Helen's Bishopgate, London, uses this method in its small groups. The book of Mark has been used at RML conferences, and the speaker was Dick Lucas. Rev. Lucas is a minister in the Church of England and the founder of The Proclamation Trust, an organization that trains Christians in Bible exposition. He was rector of St. Helen's, Bishopsgate from 1961 to 1998 and still maintains an active preaching and teaching schedule as rector emeritus.
